Autism Understanding Scotland

IT’S NOT SPEAKING FOR THE WHOLE OF A COUNTRY, OR LEAD THE UNDERSTANDING OF US IN THAT COUNTRY, BY ONLY RECOGNISING AND LINKING TO YOUR FACTIONAL SELECTION OF ITS AUTISTIC GROUPS. You don’t speak for Scotland, or merit the name Autism Understanding Scotland, by declaring that you will only link to those groups who you have already worked well with ! Which means, the faction who created you. Naturally the wish to define that just their faction speaks for all of Scotland and can be taken as our entire scene here, comes from the faction of easy-rejection tyrannical militants, the groups whose leaders will reject at whim. The intolerant faction obsessed with the ever-changing language politics, or who will reject you even for disagreeing with harmful Autistic Pride because its inventors were rejecters at whim too. Only that faction of our scene get linked to on Autism Understanding Scotland’s site. It evolved out of the independently autistic-run One Stop Shop that existed for a while in Aberdeen. So it evolved out of the ending of a good thing, its conversion into just another group in the scene’s militant faction. Aberdeen’s first group, the Triple A’s, had set up that One Stop Shop, had revived it independently after the NAS-run one had all too quickly been axed. AUS also an Aberdeen group does not list Triple A’s in its links. What a Frankenstein situation.

Still, there is some good gained in seeing that AUS commits to tell enquirers about the other groups who it is not listing. That can be tried out. That is a conceding that some level of all-Scotland ethic is necessary to the name AUS. But it exactly implies its need at all levels.
